Join us

We have many wonderful sopranos, altos, basses and tenors, but we always aim to attract more.

We do not hold auditions, but like most Community choirs we do struggle to attract sufficient gentlemen singers.

If you are interested in joining us please contact the Choir Secretary, who's details are on the Contact us page.

We are delighted to be able to return to live rehearsals. We have changed the format slightly to try and prevent the spread of COVID. The rehearsal time is now 7.30 until 8.30pm in the Junior Hall at Heyhouses School. Please note the new venue. Please also see the guidance and risk assessment at the bottom of the page regarding rehearsals.

Doors will be open from 7.15pm to allow everyone to register and be in place ready to start at 7.30pm.

The Junior Hall is much bigger than the Infant Hall so this will allow us to keep our distance from each other while rehearsing.

How much will it cost ?

Our payments for the year follow the academic calendar. For the current academic year we are charging £40 to be paid in January. We accept cheque, cash or bank transfer. Subsequent yearly charges will be reviewed in the next academic year.

All payments to the Choir are non-refundable in whole or in part.

If you are a tax payer you can help us further by making a Gift Aid declaration in respect of your subscription.

Returning to Choir Monday October 4th

Singing

1. When singing you can remove your mask. If you prefer you can purchase a mask insert as you register for £2. We have purchased these from Making Music who recommend them if people prefer to sing wearing their mask.

2. We will not be having a break in the evening as we feel it is better to sing for an hour from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. So we plan to begin promptly.

3. Do not share pencils or music with others.
